Our Seaweed Cultivation Project in Oman is one of the country’s first steps toward building a sustainable blue economy. In line with Oman Vision 2040, it explores how seaweed farming can reduce reliance on oil, promote green industries, and make smarter use of natural resources. The project aims to demonstrate how seaweed can protect marine ecosystems, generate new jobs, and open opportunities for economic diversification. We are starting with a pilot phase to test year-round cultivation in Oman’s waters, with the long-term vision of creating a new industry that benefits people, nature, and the economy.

Globally, seaweed also supports packaging, biofuels, and medical research. Our project explores how seaweed farming in Oman can unlock these commercial and environmental benefits.
